In May 2022, Major League Baseball reached out to The Auburn Plainsman in need of a freelance writer to cover their ID Camp in Montgomery. I met briefly with organizers and spent the morning viewing the camp, meeting parents in the stands and speaking with participants. Once the camp was complete, I outlined how the day went and compiled interviews before coordinating with staff on sending the story off.

After finishing up with the Savannah Bananas, I dipped into a few different things as I started my job search. One of those was jumping on some stories for The Opelika-Auburn News as they expanded coverage in some areas and had some staff changes. I was able to work with them for a variety of stories that helped them provide their readers with the best content possible.
