I started with The Auburn Plainsman in January 2021, and covered a variety of sports but most of the work I was doing happened remotely as the University maintained its COVID-19 protocols. In March 2022, we had a turnover in leadership and I became sports reporter. In May 2022, I moved up to sports editor, a position I held through spring 2023.
In that span, I managed to cover almost every sport in every venue and it was a joy. The athletics at Auburn were wildly successful after I arrived and I was able to gather a wide array of experience along with that.
