I'm Callie Stanford, sports media enthusiast and Auburn University alum. I am currently working as a media relations graduate assistant in the Wagner College athletic department. I began this position in January 2025, working with my assigned sports of track & field, cross country, baseball and bowling, in addition to providing support for other sports at home events. In the classroom, I am pursuing an MBA alongside my work in the athletic department.
In August 2024, I wrapped up a media relations internship for the Savannah Bananas, a growing team where I was the first intern of its kind in a newly-created department. I assisted external media members who wanted to cover our games at home and on the road, while also working with our marketing and broadcast staff to tell the best stories possible within our organization.
Before moving to Savannah at the start of 2024, I gained a wealth of experience during my undergraduate career at Auburn. I started at Auburn in fall 2020, began writing for The Auburn Plainsman in January 2021 and then in early 2022, started working for Auburn Undercover and 247Sports. During the summer of 2022, I wrapped up with them and began with The Opelika-Auburn News, where I covered high school and Auburn sports as their sports intern.
